PAINTING OF A PANIC ATTACK
FE Live were once again delighted to support Scottish indie rock legends Frightened Rabbit
On their 22 month world tour in support of latest critically acclaimed record ‘Painting of a Panic Attack’. FOH engineer Iain Graham requested a compact but powerful control package he could carry worldwide across a range of venue sizes and festivals. After considering a few different options we settled on a Digico SD11i with a D2 stage rack as the focal point of the system. Additional effects processing was handled by a Waves Extreme Server, Universal Audio Apollo 16 and a pair of Empirical Labs EL8 Distressors.
Iain commented “It’s been a game changer for my live show having this much power and automation available whether I’m doing a large theatre in Chicago or a festival in Australia” For monitors, we supplied the bands long term monitor engineer Scott Humphries with a Midas Pro2c console and 8 channels of Sennheiser G3 IEM.
Sat boxes and line system packaging was made as compact as possible to save space and weight while still maintaining rapid set up times. Touring freight partners Rock-It Cargo we looked after logistics for the audio package continent to continent usually only returning to FE for general cleaning and maintenance between tours.
