L-Acoustics Choose SFL for X12 Pilot Phase

Premier loudspeaker manufacturer L-Acoustics have exclusively selected SFL as the launch partner for their new X series loudspeakers. SFL have become the first dealer to stock the X series with a substantial investment in the X12 as part of the pilot phase.

X12 has already been deployed on a number of SFL productions and is available to hire now. SFL’s Technical Director, Mark Payne, comments on the X12 pilot phase, “I love them! Amazing useable bass response from a compact and lightweight 12″ unit. True multi-role use with exemplary pattern control lending itself to both front-of-house and monitor applications.”

Patrick Smith, SFL Project Manager, adds,

Even before we plugged them in we could tell this was a major new development from L-Acoustics. The previous generation 12XT was a box that we loved both for events and installations, so it’s always hard to imagine how a manufacturer like L-Acoustics are going to improve on that quality of product. Suffice to say that they have not disappointed!

The cabinets are compact and represent a significant size and weight reduction when compared the older 12XT due to a cutting edge ergonomic design. Sonically L-Acoustics have yet again redefined the benchmark for audio quality with a cabinet that sounds tighter, fatter and more controlled than we ever thought possible.

SFL recently took X12 out for its first UK event at Devoted 2015. In a system designed by Production Manager Richard Denham X12’s were deployed as front-fill and out-fill to compliment main arrays of L-Acoustics KARA.
